secure wordpress hosting provider: wordpress logo with a padlock

If you are looking for a secure WordPress hosting provider that meets the following 17 requirements, read on.

Here you are going to find my 17 requirements that not all hosting providers provide. The solution I use meets each and every one of these 17 requirements. That’s why I say Wealthy Affiliate’s Site Rubix is a good solution. The best part is that you can try out this solution yourself for free.

Let’s get started.

Introduction

These days if you find yourself asking the following question, “What is a secure WordPress hosting provider?” you should know that I asked myself this question earlier. I also asked myself the question, “What should a secure WordPress hosting provider provide?” because these two questions go hand in hand.

In this article, I reveal my list of requirements for a good secure WordPress hosting provider to provide in order to be worth giving them my business.

This is a detailed article. My introduction outlines why I think it is important to have a list of requirements, along with what secure WordPress hosting is. I also explain what a secure WordPress hosting provider should provide. I then delve into 17 different requirements that a secure WordPress hosting provider needs to satisfy before I consider giving them a chance. And I reveal who my preferred provider is.

I decided to write this article to help you focus on what I think is important when looking at a secure WordPress hosting provider. There is some technical information here which I hope is easily understood and I hope does not cause you overwhelm. 🙂 🙂

This article covers a quick introduction about why looking at secure WordPress hosting solutions is a good idea in the first place and then jumps straight into discussing the important items on my checklist.

Why it’s important to focus on requirements

focus

A lot of secure WordPress hosting solutions talk about heaps of different technical specifications and heaps of features which can overwhelm you if you are not careful. This overwhelm is time consuming at best. You simply do not need to know all these things that you are simply not going to use. Ever. So learning about all these things ends up being a waste of your most important resource: heaps of your time.

In this day and age, a good percentage of websites use WordPress as their website content management system. A secure WordPress hosting solution is a webhost that manages WordPress, manages security and manages a range of time consuming technical tasks for you so that you do not do these time consuming technical tasks yourself.

This frees up your time to focus on the important stuff rather than spending your time doing those time consuming tasks. I read somewhere that it can take somewhere between 100 hours and 150 hours just to learn about how to manage WordPress, not including the time to actually manage WordPress. So it makes a lot of sense to let your webhost do this.

It is important to mention that you may from time to time need to do some webhosting tasks but these in the main are usually taken care of by the secure WordPress hosting provider.

Everyone is different and everyone would have their own list of requirements. I also reasonably expect this list to change in the coming months and years as secure WordPress Hosting providers “up their game” with new technologies, newer hardware, newer software and with their own innovations.

These days there are many options when it comes to hosting websites. A good percentage of websites use WordPress as their website content management system. Using a content management system makes a lot of sense and using WordPress makes a lot of sense.

I recommend that a Secure WordPress Hosting Provider be used if you are looking at hosting websites. A good one will take care of the technology behind the scenes which frees you to focus on your actual business. Below I reveal my list of requirements of what good secure WordPress hosting providers provide.

This is my list of requirements, you may have a different one. 🙂

If you don’t yet have a list of requirements, you might use my list of requirements as your starting point. 🙂

What is secure WordPress hosting?

In order not to compare apples with oranges, it is important to define what is meant by secure WordPress Hosting.

Secure WordPress Hosting is way more than normal website hosting. In normal website hosting, the customer typically has access to a web hosting control panel where there are loads of options available to manage your web hosting.

You have to be quite a technical genius to navigate through these options and most of them you may never actually use however you may consume time and effort in educating yourself about them. This may not be the best use of your limited time.

After all there are 24 hours in every day and most of these hours are already earmarked for certain activities, including sleeping and eating.

secure wordpress hosting provider: web host control panel for ajenti

Back to the large range of options typically available on a web hosting control panel, these may include options to manage associated options available with your web hosting. These typically include a web server, a DNS server, a mail server, a FTP server, a database server or more likely database servers, a file manager, a system monitor, web log analysis software and firewall.

So in normal hosting, if you want to use WordPress, you have to install, configure and implement WordPress for each of the websites where you want to use WordPress. Webhosts typically have made this process easier over time.

However you still have to do it yourself and if there are any issues, you have to troubleshoot them yourself in getting it to work, even if you just open a helpdesk ticket for the webhost helpdesk to sort out for you.

Each website running WordPress requires its own separate WordPress database. So you have to create, set up, configure and manage a separate database instance for each of those websites. If the database instance is not running correctly the associated WordPress website is not able to get required data and so that website is not operating efficiently until you do the necessary to get all the pieces up and running again. This can be time consuming.

In managed WordPress hosting, the webhost typically takes care of these things. You are not exposed to these things. You do not have to install, configure and implement WordPress for each of your websites. The webhost does this as you have managed WordPress hosting. You do not have to create, set up, configure and manage a separate database instance for each of those websites. The webhost does this as you have managed WordPress hosting.

I expect in managed WordPress hosting that only WordPress sites are on that server. That server is set up and configured in such a way to be as effective and efficient as possible for WordPress and what WordPress sites require.

That server typically would not have unnecessary software installed, configured and running on it. Unnecessary software would be for instance other content management systems which if installed and running on that server would most likely lead to “performance leaks” along with possible conflicts. I also expect in managed WordPress hosting that the webhost manages that server including managing WordPress. There is “behind the scenes” technical work that a managed WordPress webhost does which frees you up to focus on your business, not on managing your web hosting.

The word Secure in Secure WordPress Hosting means that the webhost in this case includes additional offerings to help make the website more secure. These are usually more than the traditional managed WordPress hosting provider. This may be at the webserver level and/or at the website level depending on the webhost.

What is a secure WordPress hosting provider?

secure wordpress hosting solution: secure webhosting

This is a provider of secure WordPress hosting. A secure WordPress hosting provider should take care of the following:-

  1. The Website technology behind the scenes
  2. Ensure that WordPress is up and running smoothly
  3. Ensure that the applicable WordPress databases are up and running smoothly
  4. Ensure that the webservers are running well and fast
  5. Ensure that websites are protected and so on

By them doing that, that frees up their customers to focus more on their actual businesses.

Secure WordPress hosting provider review – Here’s my list of requirements

Here’s my secure WordPress hosting provider list of requirements along with my answers for the secure WordPress hosting provider that I use. These are not in any particular order.

Requirement 1

secure wordpress hosting solution: site security

Question – Is the hosting platform robust and powerful?

✔ Yes, when using the secure WordPress hosting I use.

The website platform at the webhost I use is robust and powerful. With this hosting, your WordPress site will always be hosted on the latest and most powerful servers in the world through Amazon hosting.

You just want your WordPress site to be fast and not be concerned about the technical details to make that happen as you have other things to do.

Requirement 2

Question – Can you host up to and including 10 websites?

✔ Yes, when using the secure WordPress hosting I use.

If you use the secure WordPress Hosting I use, you can host up to 10 websites in total.

This potentially gives you a lot of flexibility to have a number of test websites where you are testing various things. You might for instance like to test out the latest version of WordPress without the potential of damaging your existing WordPress sites. You very quickly and very efficiently build a website and update it to the latest version of WordPress to see how you like it. This same concept also applies to different WordPress themes, updating your existing WordPress theme to the latest version, WordPress plugins and updating your existing WordPress plugins to the latest version.

I prefer to make a backup of the existing site and do the updates without doing these things. So far, I have been lucky in that those updates always worked for me and I am able to work successfully with the latest version of WordPress, WordPress themes and WordPress plugins.

Having the ability to host up to 10 websites will usually mean that you can “spin up” another website in an effective manner. It also means in a lot of cases that there is no hold up on this process. No need to get a purchase order or credit card authorisation. If you had to do these other non primary tasks first, this will at best hold up the process or at worst prevent the process from continuing. That could have prevented you from “spinning” up a new website that could have had loads of potential. We just don’t know. 🙂 🙂

Requirement 3

Question – Is there excellent sitespeed rating?

✔ Yes, when using the secure WordPress hosting I use.

secure wordpress hosting solution: sitespeed on

There are at least two very important things here:

One, if a website is slow, people may not wait for it to load and display your content. They have already left and are now looking elsewhere. You do not want that.

And two, the search engines take speed into consideration when ranking content. The search engines know that if they send people to slow websites and those people don’t wait to see the content, the search engines consider that a bad experience for those people.

All things being equal except for speed, the faster website would rank higher in my opinion.

Requirement 4

Question – Does your webhost offer “double hosting”?

✔ Yes, when using the secure WordPress hosting I use.

secure wordpress hosting solution: website always awake

As far as I know, the secure WordPress hosting provider I use is the only secure WordPress hosting provider that provides this for all websites hosted with them.

If one of your websites were to for some reason to go down, your webhost should have a “mirror” of your website running at all times that they will swap in, instantly. As far as I know, I am with the only webhost that provides this for all websites hosted with them.

You might never know that this swapping process happened as the webhost should do it instantly. Whereas potentially with another webhost, your website is down. And it may be down until you find out it is down and then start to take actions to correct.

If your website is down then you are potentially losing out on traffic until you find out that the website is down and then start to take corrective action. Your website could be down for a long time.

If your webhost swaps your website with a “mirror” instantly then this prevents this potentially long delay before your website is back up.

If search engines notice websites being down a lot, it may also hurt your rankings.

Requirement 5

Question – Does your webhost know WordPress?

✔ Yes, when using the secure WordPress hosting I use.

One very important reason for this is that I expect a secure WordPress hosting solution webhost to set up the hosting platform in such a way that they take advantage of applicable configurations to protect my websites and to make my websites run as quickly as possible. I would expect the webhost in this case to do as many practical things as possible to keep the WordPress websites secure.

Security is not an absolute, it’s a continuous process and should be managed as such. Security is about risk reduction, not risk elimination, and risk will never be zero. It’s about employing the appropriate security controls that best help address the risks and threats as they pertain to your website.
Source: WordPress.

Please be aware that if you install WordPress with some Webhosts, if you run into WordPress issues, they may not help you. Or they may charge additional fees to help you.

With a WordPress Webhost, they usually have already installed WordPress for you and associated a database with it for you so you do not have to do these time consuming tasks yourself. That is the case for sure with the secure WordPress hosting solution I use.

It is also possible but unlikely that your webhost does not support the technical specifications for WordPress.

Requirement 6

Question – Does your webhost have several layers of security that shield your websites and keep them secure?

✔ Yes, when using the secure WordPress hosting I use.

secure wordpress hosting solution: spamblocker

This website security includes hacking, spam blocker, malware and bot-net attack protection.

Whatever overall solution your secure WordPress hosting solution has, it had better include several different layers of security. Having several layers of security makes a lot of sense. The website security package needs to at least cover hacking, malware and bot-net attack protection. If the website security package includes protections at the server level, it may mean that there is no requirement to install a number of WordPress plugins relating to associated security aspects.

SiteProtect which is the spam blocker used at the secure WordPress hosting I use works at the server level and blocks automated comment spam before it even hits this website. Of course, a few spam emails may get through from time to time however nowhere near the amount of spam emails I would otherwise receive. One benefit of this spam blocker is that I do not need to install, activate, configure and keep up to date WordPress Plugins that perform this functionally as my webhost does that work automatically for me. Happy days. 🙂

Requirement 7

Question – Does your webhost automatically backup your websites every 24 hours automatically?

✔ Yes, when using the secure WordPress hosting I use.

They just need to do it automatically so that you do not need to think about it. Hopefully you never need the last backup but you never know.

Better to have, and not need, than to need, and not have. – Franz Kafka

With some webhosts you need to manually do the backups yourself. You need to have a backup plan that involves you doing the backup on a regular basis consistently. Good luck with that one.

Quite often, in my earlier experience I would do the backups on a regular basis and because I did not actually need them, I would omit to do them. Then trouble. You need to revert to an earlier backup, but your last backup is back too far.

This is why if your webhost does it automatically every day, at least you can revert to that backup if you need to.

Requirement 8

Question – Does your webhost always host your websites on the latest and most powerful servers in the world through Amazon hosting?

✔ Yes, when using the secure WordPress hosting I use.

If the webhost is using not so modern and not really powerful servers, then the experience for your website visitors may not be as quick and responsive and your website visitors may leave your website. Website visitors tend to be very impatient when it comes to requesting webpages online. They expect for the webpage to be displayed in a timely manner.

Requirement 9

Question – Does your webhost provide access to the server admins 24/7?

✔ Yes, when using the secure WordPress hosting I use.

Note that some webhosts give you access to helpdesk personal not the Server Admins. Having access to the Server Admins typically allows the issue to be fixed in a more effective and efficient manner.

Note that with some webhosts you have access to helpdesk personal not the Server Admins. Having access to the Server Admins typically allows the webhosting issue to be fixed in a more effective and efficient manner.

With the secure WordPress hosting solution I use, I have access to the Server Admins 24/7 using their helpdesk ticketing system. Any time I have used this, my webhosting issues were resolved in a timely manner.

Any “real” webhosting issues were resolved extremely fast. Any webhosting related non urgent “questions” were answered very fast. However the “real” webhosting issues were resolved much faster which is what I want.

Requirement 10

Question – Does your webhost provide free ssl certificates (https) security?

✔ Yes, when using the secure WordPress hosting I use.

secure wordpress hosting solution: site ssl

These days all websites in my opinion should be using SSL (https) security as a matter of normal practice. Please note that some webhosts will charge you extra for these SSL certificates on a per website per time period basis. Good for their pockets but not good for your pocket. With the secure WordPress hosting solution I use, for each website I have hosted there, I simply press a button and it gets done instantly.

Be aware that some webhosts charge about $40.00 extra per year for a SSL cert. So if you have 10 websites, that could be $400 extra per year spent on SSL certs alone.

Requirement 11

Question – Does your webhost provide botnet security?

✔ Yes, when using the secure WordPress hosting I use.

This ideally needs to be implemented at the server level. This means that there is then no need to install and implement WordPress BotNet Security type of plugins.

If it is implemented at the server level, the bots typically do not get a chance to “annoy” the website at the website level. If this security is not at the server level, then additional processing needs to happen at the per website level to process these bots. That clogs up processing power and potentially clogs up the WordPress database at the per website level leading potentially to a performance decrease.

Plus it may also require human time with its associated costs to look at and correct. I wish you good luck on that one.

Also know that some webhosts will charge about $20.00 extra per year per website for security scans of your website.

Requirement 12

Question – Does your webhost provide sitehealth?

✔ Yes, when using the secure WordPress hosting I use.

SiteHealth status

Above is the overview view of the SiteHealth of one of my websites over a period of time. The main idea here is to show that using this SiteHealth tool I was able to convert it from RED to GREEN by focusing my time and effort on activities that helped me to achieve this goal.

Using the tools and information learned, the SiteHealth of that website changed from red to green. This is an “internal score” rather than an “actual score” achieved against the search engines. This “internal score” and suggestions help me to determine what I should be focussing my time and attention on.

First the statistics are displayed at an overview level, then by drilling down additional statistics are displayed for a number of different business performance headings relating to the health of the site as shown below.

SiteHealth scores for different headings
SiteHealth scores for different business performance headings

With the secure WordPress hosting solution I use, they have a number of different business performance headings with a score against them (see above) to help you focus on what needs to be done next.

As you can see, these include publishing frequency, content quality & variety, visitor engagement (website comments), your engagement (you replying to website comments with your website comment reply), plugins, site trust, Google ranked and website feedback.

I use these different business performance headings and scores to help me to determine what needs to be done next.

I use them as a guide. I don’t always follow these recommendation as I use them as a guide to help me to determine what I should focus on next.

This is a tool that the secure WordPress hosting provider I use provides that helps you to determine what to work on next for the well-being of your website from a business viewpoint along with current statistics relating to each of those things. These statistics can help to determine focus on what needs to be done.

Requirement 13

Question – Does your webhost provide sitecomments?

✔ Yes, when using the secure WordPress hosting I use.

The search engines like to see engagement with your blog posts. One way to get some engagement is to allow comments and also to reply to comments as they come in.

With the secure WordPress hosting solution that I use there is functionally in place that allows me to request comments against a specified post or page. A real person will then look at the post or post, and provide a comment. This is a useful feature if you need comments for specific posts or pages on your website.

These comments are provided by other customers of this webhost.

Requirement 14

Question – Does your webhost provide website feedback?

✔ Yes, when using the secure WordPress hosting I use.

It is a good idea to get feedback from other people regarding your overall website. Other people potentially notice things that you missed that you may decide to work on or not.

With the secure WordPress hosting solution that I use there is functionally in place that allows me to request this site feedback for my website. A real person will then look at the website and provide feedback for that site. This is a useful feature to help determine if you have overlooked something that may need attention.

This is a useful feature as other people see things differently and can help you to focus on what needs to be done. Please note that these are opinions so you need to use your judgement to determine if you are going to do anything with those opinions.

This website feedback is provided by other customers of this webhost.

Requirement 15

Question – Does your webhost provide community access?

✔ Yes, when using the secure WordPress hosting I use.

Having access to similar minded people who are also building their own websites can help greatly. If you can ask related questions and receive answers, you have more information to help you.

With the secure WordPress hosting solution I use this is included. There are training areas where other people develop and put up related training. There are blogging areas where individual members develop and put up related blogs. There are question areas where individual members ask related questions.

You see that I asked the community some questions and got fourteen replies in both cases. That by the way was a coincidence. Sometimes I get more, sometimes less. Getting the additional insights of other like minded people is extremely useful.

This community provide lots of resources. This community is comprised of current customers of this webhost which you can also interact within your dashboard when you join.

Requirement 16

Question – Does your webhost provide 30gb of website space?

✔ Yes, when using the secure WordPress hosting I use.

With the secure WordPress hosting solution I use, 30GB of Website space is included. This is very generous for the price point when compared with other secure WordPress hosting solutions.

Requirement 17

Question – Does your webhost provide access to website training courses, videos and tools?

secure wordpress hosting solution: website training

✔ Yes, when using the secure WordPress hosting I use.

With the secure WordPress hosting solution I use this is included.

This includes access to lots of relevant website building type of information. Information includes SEO techniques, how to get your post ranked in Google using SEO, different WordPress Plugins, how to do research for your blog, how to write articles, different type of article outlines, and other relevant information.

Secure WordPress hosting conclusions

conclusion

As you can see, my list of requirements for a secure WordPress hosting provider is quite long. As you also see, the answer for each of these questions is “✔ Yes, when using the secure WordPress hosting I use.”

secure wordpress hosting solution: site features

As you can see, a good secure WordPress hosting provider needs to offer a really good overall package. This is where the Secure WordPress Hosting that I use really scores.

I mentioned above 17 different requirements that a secure WordPress hosting provider should provide. As you can see above the answer to each of those 17 different requirements is Yes for the secure WordPress hosting provider that I use.

I have used a number of different webhosts down through the years. I been with this secure WordPress hosting provider since January 2015, over 5 years. All of my websites are now hosted using the secure WordPress hosting that this provider provides.

I find with the secure WordPress hosting that this provider provides that the user interface to interact with my websites is much cleaner and easier to use. More importantly it has what I need.

This secure WordPress hosting has many features that come with it and the pricing is extremely competitive when compared with other managed secure WordPress webhosts. The pricing includes a range of other things as well as the webhosting.

wordpress hosting for affiliate marketers: website security

This is my recommended secure WordPress hosting based on my own experience.

You should know that as an affiliate marketer myself I need to use managed secure WordPress hosting to serve the content of my websites to my website visitors.

I came across a platform for affiliate marketers back in January 2015. Part of that solution includes a secure WordPress managed hosting component that to me looked very impressive.

I tested out that hosting on one of my websites and before long, I had moved all of my websites over to this platform as I found that they met my hosting needs.

Below is a screenshot showing some of the benefits of using this:

They also include a number of relevant “extras” or “additionals” that make their overall package very appealing. The price point is also acceptable considering that this secure WordPress Managed Hosting has so much built in which cost a lot more elsewhere.

Now I want to show you how you can get your very own WordPress website and how to build a website in the next 5 or so minutes.

If you want to build a WordPress Website right now for free, below is a link to an online step-by-step video showing you how to build a fully functional "bare bones" WordPress website in 30 seconds. After the "bare bones" website is up and running, the next step is to build your content. That takes more time than the 30 seconds to build a "bare bones" WordPress website.

Following this approach, you will be able to replicate this for yourself if you follow the process as shown in the online video which you can view or rewind as many times as you require.

The video below could be titled "How To Create A Website With WordPress, An Easy Way" or "Build a Website Easily" or something else along these lines.

I know of no easier way to get a website up and running on the web. Of course, you do have to write your pages and your posts and other website related tasks to turn this bare bones fully functional website into a "meaty" fully functional website. However it is a very good start.

I invite you now to build your own website in a similar way.

  1. Those Requirements are Gold, I go to sleep without worrying too much about my websites, I trust they are in safe hands with this particular provider and if I have any concerns, I get attended to in seconds! The last thing I want to worry about is all my hard work being jeopardized by a web host not up to the task.

    Reply
    • Hi Funmi,

I love your statement that these requirements are gold. With the setup that this webhost uses there is a whole range of website related activities that automatically get taken care off by my webhost that I do not need to do. This frees me up to focus on other things.

Any time that I raised a support ticket with them the problem is taken care off in minutes. With earlier webhosts I used, I would raise a support ticket and would have to wait a while, maybe a day or two, before they came back and the problem would not always be sorted. I am thrilled that I found this webhost.

One great thing about them is that you can try it out for free to see what you think.

      All the best, Funmi.

      Peace,

  2. All of the concerns you have highlighted have been on my mind ever since I decided to take the bull by the horns and start up my own websites. I have to say that after a lot of research, I did land on them too. After signing up for free and then going ahead and becoming a fully paid up member, I have to say that there is nothing better. I have 5 websites on the go at the minute and I can add as many as I want for no additional cost. With all the teaching, both from the creators/owners and also from others. I love them and I’m sure anyone who gives them a chance (for free) will think the same. Great post thanks!

    • Hi Jyl,

I came across this webhost a few years ago and I decided to take them up on their free offer. That turned out to be a really smart move.

The free offer gave me access to some free online training which turned out to be really good practical information which I could use and which I enjoyed. I created a free website using their website builder and was impressed. That is truly a fast process (less than 30 seconds) compared with the amount of work and time it takes to create a WordPress website with other webhosts (an hour or two depending on experience and possible trouble shooting).

I decided as you did to take the bull by the horns. I went premium to take advantage of the premium features. At this stage, all of my domains are hosted with them. I am as they say, a happy camper.

      All the best, Jyl.

      Peace,
      David

  3. A top-notch secured web hosting is must have for any business that generates revenue from their site. Imagine if your website got hacked you would lose your business completely and it has happened to many website owners before. If your site is down or slow then your website visitors or customers will go to your competitor’s site. You will not get full profit. This is a top web hosting service with higher security than other same priced web hosting providers.

    • Hi Sanjay,

I did a comparison a while back regarding pricing and the actual features within the different packages. It turned out that the nearest competitor was almost double the price and did not have so many features. This webhost allows more websites, have instant DNS setup, have a site builder included, have full redundancy, allow unlimited email accounts and have botnet security which the nearest competitor didn’t when I did the comparison.

      All the best, Sanjay.

There is for sure a lot there that I am sure that a lot of people don’t realise. That is the primary reason for my post – to educate people about the benefits that being with a good secure WordPress hosting provider should provide.

Yes, they are always making improvements to what is offered.

A few months ago for instance, SiteComments went up a whole new level and that offering now is far superior than the earlier offering, which was pretty good in the first place.

Another recent improvement related to the new “Extreme” offering inside of SiteSpeed. They combine and minify JavaScript and CSS so that websites using this can experience even bigger speed gains to achieve better Google PageSpeed Insight scores. And to set this up is pretty simple, just click a button in your SiteManager for that website.

      All the best, Wayne.

  7. For years, I tried to spend as little as possible on site hosting. As such, I had one site, it had little to no traffic, and I found managing it to be incredibly labor-intensive. Then, I tried out a starter account on Wealthy Affiliate, which quickly turned into a Premium account. In a little over a year, I’ve significantly improved the performance of my original site and I’ve also built out three others! I couldn’t agree more with your 17 factors and the fact that Wealthy Affiliate checks all of the boxes. And on a side note, thank you for finally enlightening me as to the source of the ‘Better to have it and not need it’ quote! I use it all the time when guiding in the summer months (i.e. it’s better to bring layers even if you don’t end up needing them), but never knew who to attribute it to. Thanks again!

    • Hi Tucker,

Using “sub-standard” webhosting is for sure a false economy. I like many others spent a lot of time managing “sub-standard” hosting. I guess you get what you pay for.

The amount of time spent managing that can be very time consuming for sure and it can be very difficult to get that time investment back for your efforts. By the time you finish managing the “sub-standard” hosting, there is little or no time left to develop the website.

It sounds like you are currently have four websites hosted at Wealthy Affiliate. Nice going.

The “better to have it” quote naturally came up in my article and I heard that quote so many times that I tracked down the source wearing my “Sherlock Holmes hat”. 🙂

A quick search on the internet quickly revealed the source. The wonders of modern search engines.

I wish you all the best with your secure WordPress hosting solution at Wealthy Affiliate, Tucker.

      Peace,
      David

  8. Hi,

This is a really good informative article, it explains everything in detail and gives potential users an insight as to the system they would have access to at Wealthy Affiliate.

I am just building my first website here at Wealthy Affiliate and have found info here that I didn’t know. WordPress is a very powerful platform but it takes time to learn the things you need to build a great website.

I particularly like your idea of using some of the free websites as a test website because as a complete beginner I am worried about doing something wrong and losing stuff I had already mastered and initiated on my site.

I didn’t know about the security for my site until someone else on Wealthy Affiliate pointed me in the right direction to secure my site.

Great to have all this info in one place presented like this.

    • Hi Louise,

I am thrilled to hear that you are building your first website using the secure WordPress hosting solution at Wealthy Affiliate. There is a lot of functionality built into WordPress and it is very powerful. As you say it takes time to learn how to build a website however without WordPress and similar content management systems, it would take a lot more time.

It can be a good idea to have a website that you use as a test site when looking at different WordPress themes, plugins and the like. You do not want to potentially damage your “main” website, or potentially your “main” websites.

I wish you all the best with your secure WordPress hosting solution at Wealthy Affiliate, Louise.

      Peace,
      David
