Pay Per Click Marketing Strategy In 2020

pay per click marketing strategy

This is a quick discussion on the pay per click marketing strategy in 2020. It is not intended to be an in-depth discussion. It is relatively easy to get involved with pay per click. However unless you have expertise and experience you can end up spending more money than you make with pay per click.

This discussion is from the point of view of paying for ads.

It is possible to make the mistake of paying for traffic using pay per click (PPC) before understanding the process properly.

Just because traffic is being paid for does not mean that that traffic will convert.

It is possible to spend a lot of money on pay per click (PPC) and not have a decent return.

Once that traffic has gone from the ad and did not convert (sign up for some free report or purchase something straight away), that cost money which they have no way of getting back from that particular pay per click campaign.

With PPC, you really need to really understand the process and be experimenting with different variables all the time. I don’t claim to fully understand this process myself although I have spent more on adwords in the past than I should have.

If you are using PPC, than in my opinion, you need to do small trial test runs and keep a very close eye on process. If the result of a specific trial test run looks promising, then you can increase your PPC spend. However you still need to keep a close eye on it.

pay per click marketing strategy: adwords

You still need to keep a close eye on each of your active trial test runs all the time and be trying out different approaches all the time, experimenting with different headings, experimenting with different words in your ads, experimenting with targeting different audiences, experimenting with different call to actions, experimenting with running your ads at different times of the day, experimenting with running your ads on different days of the week and so on and so forth. There are just so many variables to watch for here.

You would need to have great processes and systems in place to manage all of this valuable information so that you can learn about what works for you and what does not.

One place to get some PPC education and training is to do the applicable premium training available in Wealthy Affiliate. From an PPC viewpoint, this includes:

  • 10 lessons in phase 6 of the Affiliate Bootcamp training covers Bing, Yahoo, & The Power of PPC.
  • 10 lessons in phase 7 of the Affiliate Bootcamp training covers How to Scale Successful PPC Campaigns.

I do recommend that if you are interested in PPC, that you look at doing the free “starter” training that is available first so that you have a better understanding of affiliate marketing principles in general which will truly help you with your PPC adventures assuming of course that you apply what you learn.

Then as a natural process, you might naturally decide to learn more about PPC and then actually implement PPC yourself. This to me is a good way to go. If this is the way that you want to follow I recommend that you try out the free trial available at Wealthy Affiliate. Then you can upgrade to premium in your own time-frame. Once you are premium, you can then access the premium PPC related training I mentioned above, along with other benefits associated with premium membership.
